NASHVILLE - If all goes according to plan, University of Memphis students will have a gleaming new $62 million recreational complex by the time fall classes open in 2018.
The State Building Commission on Thursday approved architectural designs for the center, to be built south of campus in the block surrounded by Southern on the north, Goodman on the east, Spottswood on the south and Echles on the west. The two-story, 700-foot long building will be built along Southern, and various sports fields will be built south of the building to Spottswood.
