Clients, Brokers, and Building Owners now have closer access to an innovative Design Studio in the heart of East Memphis. The Crump Firm’s new satellite location is now open on the first floor of the Crescent Center. While directing the design of The Crump Firm’s Master Plan for all new landscaping and sitework improvements at Crescent Center, David Hoback discovered the vacant office space off the lobby and negotiated the lease with Steve Guinn, VP of Highwoods Properties.
The Crump Firm will continue its strong presence in downtown Memphis, which began in 1970 and has been maintained since the incorporation of the firm in 1985 by partners Metcalf Crump, Chairman & CEO and David Hoback, President. “A large percentage of our clients are located in East Memphis and we wanted to be more accessible to them,” said Virginia Norman, Principal and Vice President of Interior Design. Virginia joined the Crump Firm in 1993 and developed the Interior Architecture Department that has grown to a staff of 13 designers who will operate out of both the firm’s downtown and East Memphis offices.
Associate Principals Jennifer Campbell and Hattie Jones planned the new Design Studio to incorporate multiple types of work areas to promote activity-based interactions while maintaining private individual and group settings. “Our intent for the space was to showcase Human Centered Design to our clients, providing them a tangible example of a user focused environment where they can experience the collaborative process,” Jones said.
The Crump Firm’s Interior Architecture team specializes in Multi-Tenant Office Design, both Corporate and Medical, providing services for over 110 buildings across the city - including turn-key deliverables from initial Programming phases through Move Coordination. Additionally, they are an integral part of the design team on The Crump Firm’s new and renovated building projects.
