On Feb. 9, at 5:30 p.m., at the Memphis Botanic Garden, the 4th annual Building Memphis Awards recognized the best of the best in Memphis.
In front of a packed house, developers, contractors, architects, engineers and more took home awards last night from Memphis Business Journal's Building Memphis Awards ceremony, including Project of the Year.
A panel of independent judges considered numerous factors - from the functionality of design and attention to sustainability elements to how many jobs a project created - to select the winners in each category. Building Memphis Awards are divvied up into six categories, which yielded a wide range of projects completed in 2015, from a renovation project with an investment of $100,000 to a new construction project with a nearly $100 million price tag.
The Halloran Center for Performing Arts was awarded Best Private Project (more than $10 million) and Enoble Business Capital was awarded Best Renovation or Construction Project (more than $5 million).
