The Crump Firm has completed numerous projects for FedEx including prototype City Van Stations, designed for more than 50 Van Station projects throughout the country, as well as other sort and industrial facility projects. We also have extensive experience with sort facilities for Domestic Ground Operations at numerous locations around the country with Federal Express. The scope of these 80,000–120,000-square-foot facilities typically included vehicle maintenance facilities with internal vehicle access, providing package sorting, material handling systems, specialized cargo container management, bulk freight areas and private office support areas in addition to customer service areas requiring public access. Often these facilities included regional dispatch centers with specialized information technology requirements. Our firm has completed this type of facility in multiple city locations throughout numerous states including California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Washington, Oregon and Hawaii.
The Crump Firm has also completed several Air/Ground, Truck & Transit projects on airport facilities. The primary function of these projects was cargo-handling interface between freight and aircraft, many with immediate access to the aircraft apron. These facilities were primarily large, open-warehouse-type spaces for material, package, and container handling with supporting office and air-side vehicle maintenance spaces. Our firm has completed this type of facility in Tucson, Arizona; Portland, Oregon; Seattle/Tacoma, Washington; and Los Angeles, California.
In addition to van stations and facilities, we have completed multiple administration, call center, dispatch and support facilities for FedEx. Many of these included speciality equipment, data centers and large warehouse spaces. These facilities were built as stand-alone, owner-occupied buildings and as future multi-tenant buildings in the event that FedEx decided to relocate.
