Garrott Hall is a three-story addition to the St. Mary’s Upper School on the South Campus. The building houses administrative offices, classrooms and meeting rooms and also serves as a bridge between the Taylor Building and the Buckman Fine Arts Center.
The first floor houses the new Upper School Offices, a large multi-use room with a warming kitchen, a classroom and a large conference room. The second floor includes three classrooms, The Head of School and the Assistant Head of School offices, a large conference room and a bridge that connects the buildings. The third floor also has three large classrooms in addition to its two small meeting spaces.
The Crump Firm also designed a 300-seat performing arts center for the St. Mary’s School. This facility serves 800 students ages 4–18 and includes a state-of-the-art theater with variable acoustics, variable lighting, a thrust stage, orchestra pit, orchestra shell, a shop area and large storage areas for theatre sets, supplies and musical instruments.
The theatre is the resident venue for the Buckman Concert Series, featuring international performers and the Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble.
